charity chef cook-off

Nakama paved the way for bringing sushi to Pittsburgh’s restaurant scene, beginning with their flagship location in Pittsburgh’s trendy South Side neighborhood. Following their success, Nakama opened a second location in Wexford, PA, and wanted to spotlight their new addition while simultaneously raising charitable funds. In conjunction with Glimmer of Hope – a local nonprofit that supports breast cancer awareness and screenings – we executed every detail of a cook-off that featured several of Pittsburgh’s most beloved celebrities. Giving center stage to news anchors and sports figures, the Pirate Parrot, Miss Pennsylvania 2016, and more, our celebrities strutted their culinary skills in front of a captive and hungry audience. The sold-out event raised over $6,000 and was featured in numerous publications and generated extensive attention on multiple social media channels.

Being a former Pittsburgh Steeler, I have participated in multiple fundraisers for a variety of causes. I can confidently say that nobody makes charity events shine like Fame15 Creative. They thought of everything, from cool event sunglasses to the perfect mix of local celebrities. A night spent raising money for a great cause felt like a night out with friends. Fame15 not only does great work, they’re a lot of fun and will be on the map for years to come!
